A Sequin Wedding Dress for a Brigitte Bardot and Literary Inspired London Wedding

Lily, a writer, and Darragh, who works at Google, tied the knot at the Old Finsbury Town Hall on 15th August 2015. Their wedding theme developed from an idea sparked from their mutual love of books. Lily’s career then further inspired their style, plus some quirky touches influenced by their backgrounds.

Lily who’s has a background in project management, ensured that the wedding was planned on time, on budget, with military precision. She commented: “We chose this venue because it was beautiful and ornate and we had our first date at Exmouth Market, which is a stones’ throw away. We drive past it almost every day and it’s a lovely reminder.”

Do you know where honeymoon comes from?

Today the tradition of a honeymoon is still strong. But where did this custom originally come from?

There are many interesting and amusing myths associated with Weddings….. It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride’s father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer, and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the “honey month” or what we know today as the honeymoon.
